Samsung starts rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Note in India

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.O Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Note in India. The new update not only, brings new UI enhancements introduced by Google in ICS, but also adds a slightly tweaked layer of Samsung’s TouchWiz overlay for Android.
Besides this, the update also features a series of S-Pen optimized applications which Samsung calls the Premium Suite. Some of the notable features of the premium suite include a new S-Note app and an S-Memo widget.
On the other hand, Android 4.0 brings a myriad of UI enhancements to the table such as a revamped multitasking UI, new People app, resizable widgets, performance tweaks and newer Google applications such as Gmail and Maps.
While, the 318MB update is available as an OTA, some users are reportedly not receiving the update. To mitigate this issue, we suggest users should try connecting their device to the desktop via the Samsung Kies Air application.
Only a couple of weeks ago, we reported that Samsung had began rolling out the update for the Galaxy Note in Europe and finally it has hit Indian shores, though Samsung is yet to release an ICS update for the popular Galaxy S II.
