Qualcomm claims Snapdragon is the coolest chip on the block by melting butter [video]

Ever used a phone or a tablet that heats up after using it for a few minutes? Qualcomm claims in all likelihood they are not running on its Snapdragon chipset. And to prove their claim, they did a heat map comparison with two other smartphones running competing chipsets. (Any guesses?) But this is not your regular heat map – the engineer uses blocks of butter to hammer down his point!
Their logic: butter starts melting at 35 degrees Centigrade and is a better way to demonstrate how hot some of these phones can get on continuous usage. No surprises on guessing which one keeps the butter solid the longest. Check out Qualcomm’s video demonstrating its unique butter test. Just a thought, now that we have molten butter, it would be a good time to try popping corns too!
