What’s inside the new MacBook Air?

It has not even been 24 hours since Apple announced its updated MacBook line-up and the guys at iFixit are already doing what they are renowned to do – tear down gadgets and reveal all its secrets. They have just torn down a 13-inch MacBook Air and have its internals splayed for all to see. Check out what’s new after the break.
To be honest, nothing much has changed in terms of layout – the batteries from the 2011 MacBook Air have been carried over and so has the wireless module from Broadcom. Even the fan seems to be the same old one, not the asymmetrical ones that Sir Jonathan Ive talked about yesterday, which is being used in the next generation MacBook Pro with Retina display.
Now coming to the things that have changed. The SSD module looks similar to the last generation model but seems to have different connectors. Of course, there is the Magsafe 2 as well as USB 3.0 and a new mic assembly for dictation. The teardown seems to be still underway so check out the source link for more updates.
