Alleged iPhone 5 unit smuggled out of factory lands up with case manufacturer

Rumors about the next iPhone aka the iPhone 5 are flying so thick and fast that even Tim Cook accepts they had a huge impact on Apple’s June quarter. But that has not stopped anyone from making more claims about the next iPhone. The latest comes from a case manufacturer, presumably from China, who shows off his case adorning what seems to be an actual iPhone 5 unit. At least that’s what the manufacturer is claiming.
The unit in the photograph certainly shows all the rumored changes including the new 19-pin connector alongside the headphone jack as well as the repositioned front camera, which is now rumored to be placed above the earpiece. Having said that, this might not be the real McCoy and could just be a dummy that the manufacturer might have created purely based on rumors.
But this won’t be the first time that an Apple product has been smuggled out of its manufacturing plant. A Vietnamese site had earlier got hold of the iPhone 4 much before its launch, confirming that the iPhone prototype that was lost and found in a bar in the US was the real deal.
