We are live at Nokia’s press event in Delhi where it has officially announced the Lumia 510 in India, which has been spotted in the wild multiple times in the past month. The entry-level smartphone
will offer Windows Phone features at a new price point, taking over from the Lumia 610 which had been the most affordable Windows Phone smartphone so far. The Lumia 510 will start retailing in the first week of November in India. At the moment, Nokia is saying it will be priced under Rs 11,000 but will reveal the exact pricing only closer to the launch. Read on for more details.
The Lumia 510 features a 4-inch display with WVGA resolution (480×800 pixels), a 5-megapixel camera, a 800MHz single-core processor 4GB internal memory and 256MB of RAM. It will come with 7GB of SkyDrive cloud storage. It comes with a 1,300mAh battery and does not have a front-facing camera. It will come with Nokia Maps, Nokia Transport and Nokia Drive navigation apps. Nokia is also bundling three-months of unlimited Nokia Music and Nokia MixRadio subscription with the smartphone. Users will also be able to download ‘Camera Extras’ a suite of photography related apps that are exclusive to Nokia Lumia devices.
