RIM has done a lot of fist pumping of late. It has shown off a lot of the features of BlackBerry 10 and now it has also showcased the new Facebook app for its incoming platform. Notably, like Microsoft for Windows Phone, RIM, not Facebook has developed the app.
The new app has a super charged news feed, drop-down menus and also has built-in support for the BlackBerry Peek functionality. But off all the features, the biggest new introduction is Facebook Timeline support. While the app has been made by RIM, it is distinctively similar to the iOS and Android Facebook apps.
Like the new iOS app, the BlackBerry 10 version of the app is native and because it has been made by RIM it should offer better integration with the OS. Apart from Facebook, RIM has also touted that at launch BB10 will have Twitter, LinkedIn and FourSquare apps.
