Idea launches new international roaming plans, offers up to 75% discount on both Voice and Data services

Idea has announced new international roaming plans on which it claims that its postpaid subscribers will be able to avail an 75 percent discount on any of the 37 most visited countries in the world. Idea is calling these new packs iRoam.

The iRoam pack comes in three flavors. Users with a monthly rental of Rs 500 will get a discount of 35 percent, while a rental in excess of Rs 1,400 will avail a discount of 60 percent. Users that have a rental of Rs 5,000 and above will get a discount of 75 percent. Additionally, they have a new iRoam data pack that will give 40 MB of free data, 75 percent discount beyond free usage on a monthly rental beyond Rs 2,500.
For the US, Idea has another plan that offers up to 90 percent off on existing plans. Users travelling to the US with a monthly rental in excess of Rs 1,500 will get the discounted rates. Outgoing local calls will cost Rs 15, Call backs to India or any other country will cost Rs 15 and data charges will be fixed at Rs 15 per MB.
