Nokia PureView 808 goes on pre-order for Rs 32,000

The PureView 808 is one of the most anticipated smartphones to be launched this year for reasons good and bad. While there is no doubt it has the best camera sensor to ever adorn the rear of a smartphone, naysayers are wondering why would anyone go for a Symbian smartphone in this day and age. Nevertheless, Nokia has already officially announced it will be launching the PureView 808 in India this month though it is yet to announce at what price it will be available. There had been some indications about it being priced at Rs 29,999, which was promptly denied by Nokia. However, today we have an online retailer that is taking pre-orders of the PureView 808 for Rs 32,000.
Online retailer buyTHEprice is pegging a retail price of Rs 33,999 for the PureView 808 and is offering it for Rs 32,000. There is no way we can confirm whether this is indeed the price at which Nokia will be selling the camphone (Rs 33,999 being the MRP and Rs 32,000 being the street price). We have seen incidents in the past where some online retailers put up the pre-order pages before even getting stocks or actual pricing just to get some buyers. This is not to imply buyTHEprice being one of them but we will keep our opinion reserved till either Nokia announces the device or it comes in the retail channel.
