YouTube turns 7 today

Today, YouTube celebrates its 7th birthday and to commemorate this occasion, YouTube has released a video which shares some interesting facts about itself and its seven year journey.
Apart from of the crazy statistics the video shares some of the most iconic YouTube videos of all time including , the October 2006 Google acquisition, President Obama’s Yes we can speech from February 2008, Queen Elizabeth’s December 2008 Christmas address, the Royal wedding of 2011 and the Iran protests.
The video also chronicles how the video service evolved and noted the launch of YouTube HD in 2008 , YouTube 3D in 2009 and YouTube Mobile from which 600 million videos are played back every day.
Over the years, YouTube has become the definitive video sharing platform and today major concerts, technology events and sports events such as the IPL are broadcast live on YouTube. Frankly, one cannot imagine life without YouTube.
